MOLLY LEVINSON

CEO

Ms. Levinson is a strategic advisor to influential leaders and businesses on reputational and brand issues at the intersection of media, policy, and the law, and often serves as the lead strategist in communications campaigns. Her deep knowledge of media, including global landscape, relationships, and competitive positioning, has contributed to a track record of leveraging brand strengths in dynamic and complex environments.

Her two decades of practice includes experience on both sides of high-stakes news: developing hundreds of comprehensive communications campaigns to connect targeted audiences to compelling stories, and conversely, leading political coverage at major media outlets. Levinson receives top ranking by Chambers and Partners for her work in Crisis and Issues Management and Litigation Support Communications. PR News named her one of the “top Women in PR” in 2021 and called her a "known problem solver" when the organization awarded her the 2017 “Crisis Manager of the Year.” LawDragon named Levinson one of the “top 100 legal strategists in the U.S.” in 2021. She is a leading architect of the effort to achieve pay equality for the U.S. Women’s National soccer team, serving as an advisor to the team and its Players Association since its inception.

Levinson’s expertise in developing and implementing policy and communications strategies is rooted in her experience at the most senior levels of news. An Emmy-award winning producer, she served as Political Director at CNN and CBS. At both networks, she directed all political reporting, led the networks’ Decision Desks, and served as a primary liaison with national political parties, campaigns, local and national elected officials, Capitol Hill and the White House for every election from 2002 to 2012. Levinson also covered major events including September 11, 2001 and the aftermath, and the U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Levinson worked in both domestic and international realms prior to working in news; she was an analyst for Greenberg, Quinlan, Rosner Research, and before that, worked at the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs. Levinson serves on the Board of Advisors for the Fallen Journalists Memorial Foundation, and the Board of Trustees for Sixth & I synagogue and the Network for Victim Recovery of DC. She graduated cum laude from Wellesley College.


MICHAEL CRITTENDEN

Senior Managing Director

Mr. Crittenden is a Senior Managing Director based in Washington, D.C. He brings extensive experience advising leading companies and organizations, specializing on issues at the intersection of financial markets and public policy. 

Prior to joining TLG, Mr. Crittenden served as a Managing Director at a global public affairs firm. He is an award-winning journalist, who covered global financial markets, international economics, banking, and financial services at The Wall Street Journal for over seven years. Mr. Crittenden also covered multiple high level federal and state government agencies, including the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Federal Reserve, U.S. Treasury Department, and the U.S. Department of State. Prior to his work at the Wall Street Journal, Mr. Crittenden covered banking and financial services issues on Capitol Hill for Congressional Quarterly.

KAYE VERVILLE

Senior Managing Director

Ms. Verville brings a decade of experience in corporate, financial, and litigation communications, having advised companies, C-suites, and boards though corporate crises and reputational threats, M&A transactions, IPOs, restructurings, executive transitions, and other business inflection points. Ms. Verville’s experience spans across a variety of sectors, including retail and consumer goods, energy, chemicals, technology, and healthcare.

At TLG, Ms. Verville leads multi-stakeholder communications programs for numerous multinational companies facing mass tort litigation and Chapter 11. She also has significant experience managing litigation communications for high-profile matters with top litigation firms as well as public interest matters related to #MeToo, equal pay, and misinformation. In addition, Ms. Verville has managed some of the largest public company transactions of the last decade.

Prior to joining The Levinson Group, Ms. Verville was a director at FTI Consulting in the company’s Special Situations and Capital Markets practices, where she specialized in advising clients facing complex legal, regulatory, and market challenges. Ms. Verville also managed clients’ public and investor relations programs. Ms. Verville previously worked at BlueChip Communication, a strategic communications firm specializing in financial services based in Sydney, Australia. Ms. Verville graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Romance Languages and Art History from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, where she was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa.


Saira Zaki

Senior Managing Director

Saira Zaki is a Senior Managing Director based in London. She brings over 20 years’ experience advising on strategic communications at senior board level, often in some of the most high-risk reputation management issues. She specializes in communications related to the legal industry, and brings an expertise in navigating complexities related to US/UK cross-border businesses having led communications strategy in numerous related disputes and challenges. 

Prior to joining TLG, Ms. Zaki, a former legal business journalist, served as the Global Director of Communications at a leading US law Firm, where she sat on the marketing executive committee, oversaw global communications strategy for the whole firm, numbering approximately 1000 lawyers, and led a large and dynamic team responsible for strategy across multiple continents. Prior to that, Ms. Zaki successfully built and led the European communications function of one of the world’s largest law Firms, throughout a period of complex growth and change in the legal industry. 

Ms. Zaki received her BA with honors from University of London, and completed her post-graduate in law. She is called to the Bar of England and Wales. 


CAITLIN KLEVORICK

Managing Director

Ms. Klevorick brings more than fifteen years of communications and public affairs experience to the team, having worked at the highest levels of government and the private sector. At TLG, she works with a range of corporations, non-profits, and law firms; ranging from start-ups to Fortune 50 companies. She provides strategic guidance, including around stakeholder engagement, communications counsel, including on sensitive legal matters, and reputation management services to TLG’s clients. Specifically, Ms. Klevorick has worked with tech companies, boutique law firms, a multinational company at the crosshairs of a geopolitical debate, universities facing legal threats, and an internationally-focused NGO with a goal of advancing justice.

Prior to joining TLG, Ms. Klevorick was a Managing Director at Mercury Public Affairs, where she led complex engagements at the nexus of communications, public affairs, and policy. She previously served as a Senior Adviser in the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of State, where she was involved in managing the Department’s communications strategy and media engagement on priority policy matters and emergent issues. Ms. Klevorick also has served in senior roles on a number of political campaigns, including at the presidential level.

Ms. Klevorick is a graduate of Yale University and Fordham Law School. She currently lives in Washington, D.C.


ANGELA HOAGUE

Senior Director

Ms. Hoague is an experienced communications and business operations professional with a background in strategic planning and management in high-profile, complex environments in both the government and private sector. Ms. Hoague has extensive experience leading strategic initiatives, overseeing business operations, and managing communications efforts with internal and external stakeholders.

Prior to joining TLG, Ms. Hoague spent more than a decade at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), where she coordinated and managed a variety of projects related to complex and sensitive agency matters. She previously oversaw the Commissioner and Chief of Staff’s front office operations, managing priority assignments and deliverables and serving as a liaison to a range of internal offices and external stakeholders. Ms. Hoague also held positions at the FDA as a press officer and project manager for agency regulatory and compliance matters, including those specifically related to policy development and implementation.


KYLIE McKENNA MUNNELLY

Senior Director

Ms. Munnelly is an experienced media and communications professional. Having begun her career as a producer in business news covering leaders and decision makers across numerous sectors and industries, Ms. Munnelly draws on her experience and knowledge of the media landscape to help high profile clients effectively frame narratives and navigate mission-critical moments.

Prior to her work at TLG, Ms. Munnelly was a segment producer at CNBC for Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer where she produced daily business segments, managed guest relations with top CEOs, and analyzed business trends, corporate crises, quarterly reports and other news. Ms. Munnelly previously worked as an NBCUniversal Page, where she served as an ambassador for NBCUniversal working with several teams throughout the global media company.

Munnelly graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in journalism and a minor in economics from The University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia.


KRISTIN RUDMAN

Director

Ms. Rudman is an experienced communicator with significant expertise in strategic, crisis, and financial communications from a background that includes work in media and national broadcasting, as well as leading communications in both the public and private sectors. She advises and collaborates on a range of matters for various clients and industries, which includes, media companies, tech giants and startups, banking and private equity firms, as well as universities, among others. She also supports top law firms who serve a range of clients, often dealing with complex and difficult litigation issues.

Prior to joining TLG, Ms. Rudman served as a political appointee and Press Secretary at the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), where she represented EXIM as its official spokesperson and was a member of the team that helped secure a historic long-term reauthorization of the agency.

Formerly, Ms. Rudman managed media relations for a premier national trade association in Washington, D.C., which supports energy and environmental policies and issues. As part of an industry and government coordinated team, Ms. Rudman assisted with rapid response efforts during catastrophic events such as Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria. Ms. Rudman also has extensive experience in the broadcast news industry. As a Producer for Fox Business Network, she covered political and financial news, including the 2016 presidential election, the White House, and the Federal Reserve, among other domestic and international news coverage. She began her career as a Production Assistant in the Washington Bureau at Fox News Channel.

Ms. Rudman received a Master of Arts degree in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University in Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio.


ZAK SAWYER

Director

Mr. Sawyer is a Director at TLG. He is a strategic communications professional with experience serving in government and executing numerous risk management and corporate communications campaigns. He has advised public and private organizations on their brands and reputations and has tailored communications planning to position leaders and organizations with clients and customers, employees, policymakers, media, and the public.

Prior to joining TLG, Mr. Sawyer was a Senior Associate at Finsbury Glover Hering, where he managed media relations and provided strategic and crisis communications to clients across several different industries, including healthcare, media, financial services and insurance, among others. Mr. Sawyer also served as a legislative and then senior aide for United States Senator Joe Donnelly, supporting the Senator’s work on the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs and then providing communications support for the Senator. Prior to working in the Senate, Mr. Sawyer served as Assistant Director at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), where he was responsible for communicating legislative and policy positions to the membership base. Mr. Sawyer graduated with a B.A. in political science from The University of Michigan.


LUCY VERNASCO

Director

Ms. Vernasco is a seasoned communications professional with nearly a decade of creative communications and project management experience working with a diverse group of public and private organizations to strategically communicate to a broad range of audiences and stakeholders. From digital strategy to messaging and content creation, she has successfully worked across major technology companies, start-ups, political campaigns and in the U.S. Senate to creatively innovate on mission-critical communications projects.

Prior to joining TLG, Ms. Vernasco led social media operations for Melinda French Gates’s Pivotal Ventures. Before that, she served as Digital Director for U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, advising the senator on communications and helping craft rapid-response and ongoing messaging regarding his work on the Senate Finance Committee. Ms. Vernasco began her career as a successful journalist whose work has been featured on Vice, The Daily Beast, and Outside Magazine, among others.

Ms. Vernasco graduated with a B.A. in Rhetoric and a minor in Gender Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a M.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.


KRISTEN BLOMSTROM

Senior Associate

Ms. Blomstrom is an adept communications professional with experience in crisis management and strategic communications on a variety of matters, including complex litigation, financial institutions, higher education, media, and public health.

Prior to joining The Levinson Group, Ms. Blomstrom worked on a variety of campaign, policy, and advocacy issues, including most recently as an intern for EMILY’s List during the 2018 midterm election cycle. Ms. Blomstrom also served as an intern at the U.S. Department of Education in the Office of Educational Technology, where she supported expanding broadband in public schools and policy development. Ms. Blomstrom has worked with End Rape on Campus, where she advocated for sexual violence prevention legislation on Capitol Hill. She graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in political science and a minor in education.


HANNAH MILLER

Senior Associate

Ms. Miller is a seasoned communications professional with deep experience in the financial services industry. Ms. Miller joins TLG from Bridgewater Associates, one of the world’s premier institutional asset managers, where she oversaw operations of the firm’s Business Communications team.

MIKAELA DREDDEN

Communications Associate

Ms. Dredden joins TLG after serving as a Senior International Client Services Associate at a global research and industry intelligence firm, where she supported international client accounts. As an undergraduate, she held internships at Freedman Consulting and GPG. Ms. Dredden received her B.A. from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University, where she majored in Conflict Resolution and double minored in Political Science and Spanish/Latin American Language, Culture and Literature.


ZACH MILLER

Communications Associate

Mr. Miller, a recent graduate of Columbia University, spent his undergraduate years writing and editing for a range of campus and professional publications, served as an intern in the state office of Senator Chris Murphy and was a volunteer for Columbia’s Justice-in-Education program, focused on accessibility in policy and academics.


EMMA PRETZER

Communications Associate

Ms. Pretzer joins TLG from the Administration for Children’s Services in New York City, where her work as an intern focused on updating procedures and investigated policy frameworks for child welfare. A recent graduate from New York University, Ms. Pretzer refined her critical thinking, writing, and research skills at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she concentrated in border studies, mental health, public health, and immigration.

DUSTIN “DUSTY” BRANDENBURG

Executive Assistant to the CEO

Mr. Brandenburg serves as Executive Assistant TLG’s CEO. He brings nearly fifteen years of administrative and operational expertise to TLG. Prior to joining TLG, Dusty served as the Director of Operations for the United States Senate Committee on Rules and Administration and served in senior operations roles in the Offices of Congresswoman Maxine Waters, and Congressman Keith Ellison. He also served as an Executive Assistant to the CEO and Co-Founder of a prominent financial services consultancy and as Communications and Public Affairs Manager at a leading environmental sustainability company. Mr. Brandenburg received his B.A. from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, majoring in Political Science and History.
